The Myths & Truths of Highly Sensitive People {Podcast}

Recently I hosted a live podcast
on the Myths & Truths of Highly Sensitive People.

Do you ever feel misunderstood or mislabeled that you are shy,
when really you just have a lot of inner processing going on
and the overstimulation makes you retreat into your own world?

As a young HSP girl, I was usually very quiet.
I constantly took in a lot of information.
But, being so young, I didn't always know what to do with it.

Quickly, I formed beliefs about how the world worked,
most of which later limited me, my growth, and my
ability to live a truly and deeply fulfilled life.

I even remember having a conversation with my Mom one day
where she told me that she didn't know if something
was 'wrong with me'.

She decided to wait and see; and thankfully, she said,
I slowly I started to come out of my shell.

I was definitely misunderstood as a little girl...and still even to this day there are certain environments I cringe to think about going back to in fear that I will still be misunderstood and be very uncomfortable in.
The truth is, there was nothing 'wrong with me'.
I did, however, remember many parts of my life with vivid detail
and the awareness and thought processes that were going on at the time.

At such a young age, I didn't have the words to express
what I was feeling and experiencing internally,
so I kept quiet until my vocabulary expanded
and I was able to articulate my inner experiences
with greater ease and flow.

Can you relate to this?

Were you often misunderstood because you experienced
life more deeply on the inside?
And hid or retreated from the world because it was
a lot to process on a moment to moment basis?

If you still believe there is something 'wrong' with you
and feel held back from moving to a new place,
finding a partner or soulmate, finding an ideal job,
or even starting your own business so you can  have more flexibility in your life, I would like to invite you to have a 1:1 conversation with me.
I am here to help you bring more ease and flow to your life.

Life can seem so hard and complicated as a highly sensitive,
but it doesn't have to be that way.

If this is not for you, you can ignore this message.
However, if you are someone who is looking to make a positive change and you haven't been getting anywhere on your own,
respond to this email and let tell me a little bit about your journey so far; where you've been and where you want to go.
I'd love to share how I can be of support.
Again, no attachment, but I am letting you know the door is open; this just might be what you've been looking for all along.

Have a great rest of your day, talk soon!
With love,
